Impossibility Is Nothing
Unfavorable
circumstances and situations may
vehemently stare at you.. Everything around may appear not to support your
dreams and aspirations, but within you dwells
that power to trash any obstacle
and forge ahead to achieve the unachievable.
Jonnie
Peacock was five when he contracted meningitis in October 1998. And in a bid to
get rid of this deadly infection from
his body, surgeons had no option
than to amputate his right leg from below
the knee. But he was determined not to
be hindered by his disability.
Fourteen
years later, in the just concluded London 2012 Paralymics, Jonnie Peacock realized his age-long dream. He
broke the record by winning the 100m sprint final for Britain in a Paralympic
best time of 10.90 seconds, making him 1.32 seconds behind Usian Bolt – the
fastest man on the planet.
What will you tell the world was your own excuse
for not achieving your dreams?
If
Jonnie Peacock, without the right leg, became a record breaker in the sprint
world;
If
Stevie Wonder became a renowned musician without eyes;
If
Albert Einstein, despite his speculated Asperger’s Syndrome, became one of the
greatest physicist who ever lived.
Whatever
name the obstacles may be called, never allow them to stop you.
Dream
big; think big, and daily work towards the actualization of your dreams.
Let
that seed of greatness in you bear fruits.
Remember,
you can do all things through Christ that strengthen you ( see Philippians
4:13).
Stay
Blessed.
